Young Ohio top prospect, Zachary Steele becomes the sixth player to sign a Tender with the 2017-2018 Wooster Oilers. The 5′8″, 150lbs shifty forward is from Hicksville, OH. Steele, played this previous season with the Victory Honda U15 team. Steele has been selected to participate in various USHL Futures Camps in the past and will be attending the USHL Sioux City Musketeers Main Camp this June. Steele spoke about why he decided on Wooster when he said, “I am looking forward to being an Oiler for many reasons, but most notably, for the chance to begin my junior hockey career with hopes of moving to college hockey in a few years. Also, being from Ohio, it gives me the chance to play a full junior schedule without being too far away from my family so they can come watch my games. I look forward to the new challenges this fall”. Steele logged 13 goals and 15 assists, for 28 points in 45 games for Victory Honda.

“Zac is another great young talent that we are very excited about. He is a local Ohio player who will add an offensive punch to our 2017-2018 squad. He has the ability to play like an experienced player with his offensive skill set. He is also a young man who is committed to his craft and we see a very bright future for him as an Oiler”, said Head Coach Aaron Hernandez.

Congratulations Zac!
