The Oilers struggled against the Vengeance 6-1 in home game

The Wooster Oilers struggled against the Pittsburgh Vengeance allowing Brendan Johns to score a hat trick as Wooster crushed Pittsburgh 6-1 in a home game at Alpha Ice Complex in Wooster. The Pittsburgh Vengeance took the lead early in the second on a goal from Brendan Johns.

Ty Rickabaugh contributed with 3 points (1 goal, 2 assists) and Devin Whitaker chipped in with 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist).

In the first, Smith opened the scoring for the Vengeance with a goal at 9:59 with a helper from his teammate Glavach. Hillebrecht quickly followed with a goal at 11:04 with helpers from his linemates, Crosby and Kesto.

During the second, Johns answered for Pittsburgh with what turned out to be the game winning goal at 1:10 with assists from White and Shepherd. Rickabaugh scored a goal at 4:48 with an assist from Johns. Johns quickly followed with a goal at 5:29 with helpers from Whitaker and Rickabaugh. Whitaker netted a goal at 18:36 with a helper from Unger.

In the third period, Johns deposited a goal at 15:28 with an assist from defenseman Rickabaugh.

This loss brings the Wooster Oilers’ record to (19-19-3-1).
