The Oilers struggled against the Jets 7-2 in home game

In the first period, Limback opened the scoring for Metro with a goal at 5:53 with a helper from defenseman Momot. Davis quickly followed with a goal at 7:03 with assists from teammates Bruce and Hansen. Limback put in what turned out to be the game winning goal at 12:36 with helpers from Hansen and Momot. King finally put Wooster on the board with a goal at 15:00 with an assist from Banyasz.

During the second, Schwartz answered for the Jets with a goal at 15:09 with helpers from Gierman and Sawyer. Davis netted a goal at 18:18 with an assist from defenseman Mears.

In the third, Cinato deposited a goal at 3:10 with helpers from his linemates, Limback and Graham. Steele answered for Wooster with a goal at 11:30 with assists from Zwierecki and Barney. Inger answered for the Jets with a goal at 17:57 with helpers from his linemates, Sawyer and Schwartz.
