During the first period, Dickinson opened the scoring for Wooster with a goal at 0:46 with helpers from Malinak and King. Pipper quickly followed with a goal at 1:07 with helpers from his linemates, Smith and Daum.
In the second, Banyasz answered for the Oilers with a goal at 16:02 with assists from Dawson and Barney. Ashley answered for the Wolves with a goal at 18:51 with helpers from his teammates Daum and Redman.
In the third, King answered for Wooster with what turned out to be the game winning goal at 9:45 with assists from Hillebrecht and Steele.
The Oilers’ victory was in no doubt helped out by Carpenter’s big night as he stopped 20 of the 22 shots he faced. Carpenter’s counterpart, Ignatovich, also had a big night, managing to stop 25 of 28, but ultimately fell short.
This win brings the Wooster Oilers’ record to (9-7-0-0).
