Pennsylvania top prospect, Matt Sutton becomes the eighth player to sign a Tender with the 2017-2018 Wooster Oilers. The 5′10″, 160lbs highly skilled forward is from Gibsonia, PA. Sutton, played the previous season with the AAA Pittsburgh Penguins Elite. Matt will be attending a USHL Main Camp as well as an NAHL Main Camp this summer. Sutton spoke about why he decided on Wooster when he said, “Coach Aaron and his staff have put together a 1st class hockey development program.  Their experience and enthusiasm will definitely help elevate my game to the next level.  I’m excited to have this opportunity with the Wooster Oilers”. Sutton had a very productive year for the Pens this previous season with 16 goals and 15 assists for a total of 31 points in 38 games played. As a student-athlete, he is also impressive in the classroom with a 3.8 cumulative GPA. Sutton has been on the Pine-Richland High School Honor Roll since 2015.
