Top prospect, Jared Fisher becomes the seventh player to sign a Tender with the 2017-2018 Wooster Oilers. The 5′11″, 160lbs talented power forward is from Fort Wayne, IN. Fisher, 16, played the previous season with the AAA York Skipjacks. He will be attending a USHL Main Camp as well as an NAHL Main Camp this summer. Fisher spoke about why he decided on Wooster when he said, “I signed my tender to further my hockey career and hope to continue to develop as a player. I also look forward to working hard with Coach Aaron to make a NAHL or USHL roster in the near future. Meeting Coach Aaron has made it very easy for me to make this decision to play for the Oilers. I can tell that he is a great coach who only wants to make each and every one of his players the best that they can be”. Fisher had a very productive year for the Skipjacks this previous season.
“Jared will be in impact player for us. He is talented and hard working power forward with a great mind for the game. Aside from that, he brings a mature outlook and will thrive with our culture here in Wooster. Our program made a huge step in the right direction with the addition of Jared Fisher”, said Head Coach Aaron Hernandez.
